Connecting Fashion Designers to Plus-Size people

In the fashion industry today, there is a huge issue with plus size people finding their true beauty and great quality clothes that fit them or make them feel good. After research, I discovered a few things that could resolve this issue and create a new outlook for how the fashion industry looks at plus size people.

The Stature Concept

The purpose of the stature logo was to indicate the body of a person, the mannequin icon in between the text it symbolizes the figure of the human body. The human body comes in many shapes and sizes. The purpose of the Stature app is to support all of them.

References

These references show the ideal scenario of what users would expect to see on an app. I chose these references because I felt that they showed a strong foundation of what a great app looks like. I took examples of intuitive app design from Asos, Spotify, Youtube, and Snapchat.

Mobile app Navigation

The app home screen starts off with the user choosing to log in if you already have an account or sign up if you want to make one. It also provides you with the forgot password function if you need to recover your password. The purpose of the background color was so the text would stand out more, also the plus-size woman is to indicate that we cater to plus-size people as well.

The second screen's purpose was to help a user choose options they may want to explore within the app. The search bar for them to search whatever is on their mind. The "spread the love" function was for people to donate to their favorite charity. Users can also find their style and connect with designers, picking the exact style of clothing they want.

Discovering other designers

The Fourth screen of the mobile app lets users discover other designers that use the app. In the lookbook section, there is a slideshow of designers whose work you can view. The buttons below it are topics that you may be interested in or would like to know more about. The squares below them are for you to discover fall styles that match you, also you can share like and bookmark what you find as well. At the bottom is all about donating to a charity when you purchase from a sponsored designer.

The fifth screen of the mobile app is about buying tickets for a fashion show, discovering other shows, and also exploring different styles that you may be interested in.

UI Design

The Seventh and Eighth screens concepts were based on the user's creative process. I designed four mock-up examples that the user would use to make their piece of clothing to style and fit them. The purpose of this was so that users could have full control over what they wanted their style to look like, giving them a visual of how it would look like on them. The categories and icons were meant for users to try a variety of patterns, styles, and colors. It gives the user access to choose that special outfit they will love forever.

In conclusion, I learned how to create a great-looking mobile app. I researched and study the concepts of how a well-designed app should look like as well as keywords to use. I discovered that when it comes to designing a fashion mobile application they there are important aspects to include to help a user understand how to navigate through the app. For example, having certain buttons on links that users may have a question about and may not know how to ask them. Users like to have easy access to functions when they are using any mobile app they like it clean and simple.
